Raising my magic raises the damage of both, but every point in Magic makes the SG damage go up by 3-4 while the hatchets only go up 1-2 or so. Or they would if I was using them. Boosting con and using a resistance onmyo talisman or ninja pills should give you a nice attack bonus while also making you basically immune to poison. Not sure how nice though.
